Pizzerias across Brooklyn
The map below shows all 477 pizza places in Brooklyn, with each point colored by its average customer rating (from 1 to 5 stars). While there are pizza places all across Brooklyn, there are more in the northern and western neighborhoods, especially around Downtown Brooklyn, Williamsburg, and Park Slope.
The histogram below the map shows the distribution of ratings. Most pizza places fall between 4.0 and 4.7 stars. Interestingly, none have an average rating below 2.0, likely because poorly rated places close quickly. The scatter plot at the bottom shows the relationship between average rating and number of reviews. There’s a slight positive correlation.
Top 20 Pizza Places By Rating and Reviews
Below are two tables listing the top 20 pizza places in Brooklyn. The first table shows the top 20 places by average rating (must have at least 100 reviews), and the second table shows the top 20 places by number of reviews. Interestingly, there is no overlap between the two lists, suggesting that the most popular places aren’t necessarily the highest rated, and vice versa. I personally recall going to two of them: Roberta’s and Burchak Pida. Both were great and not the typical New York style pizza, but I would highly recommend them if you’re looking for something a little different.
