About

Mission

I created Memolli to track all the food, drinks, and restaurants I try. I didn’t like having my reviews scattered across various websites and apps. I also wanted to feel like I owned my reviews instead of submitting them to some impersonal app. So I built Memolli with these core principles in mind:

  • Simplicity, but offer flexibility: The number one priority is to make it as easy as possible for you to capture your thoughts on what you try, but offer plenty of flexibility to customize your reviews as you see fit.

  • Privacy first: Your data is private to you by default. You choose what you want to share with friends & family.

  • Data ownership: Your data is yours, forever. You can easily download your photos and export your reviews to plain text files anytime. Per the terms of service, you retain full ownership of your data and Memolli deletes your data if you choose to close your account.

  • Just you and people you know: Memolli is not a public feed of reviews from strangers, and it’s not designed to compete with platforms like Yelp or Instagram. Instead, it puts your experiences first and lets you share them intentionally with people you trust. In a world increasingly shaped by AI- and algorithm-driven content, we believe authentic, personal experiences matter more than mass discoverability, even if that means growing more slowly.
